How do you replace the door handle cable of the Smart Fortwo 450?

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Handle

We can see in this video how to remove the handle from the interior door of a Smart Fortwo 450: first of all, we need to unscrew the screw that holds the triangular plastic part from inside the trunk, corresponding to the handle. In this way, we can remove the entire external handle block. We can find the replacement cable, for example, on Amazon with the code B0CWKQD854 at the price of 16.35 euros, free delivery for Prime customers. Remove the broken cable and replace it with the new one by removing the old one with pliers from the handle, and carefully inserting the new one. Check that the handle moves smoothly and, if necessary, lubricate it, connect the wire to its mechanism, and reassemble the handle in its housing, closing the screw inside the cabin. Job done.

How to Dismantle the Heating Radiator on a Mini Cooper

Let’s see how to dismantle the heating radiator on a Mini Cooper. First, remove the plastic cover of the centre tunnel (located under the centre tunnel on the left). Unscrew the securing screws with a screwdriver, and remove the black plastic cover that hides the heating radiator. Once all the described operations are completed, move to the engine bay: remove the plastic engine cover and disconnect the two hoses (unscrew the securing clips if present) of the radiator that goes into the cabin, allowing the fluid to drain. Disconnect the radiator from the pipes inside the cabin. Work in reverse for all the assembly steps.
