Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: Subaru Impreza MK 2 - Years 2001-2007

The cabin air filter is located inside the passenger compartment, on the passenger side, beneath the glove box which must be removed. First, remove the side fixing screw, open the glove box, and unscrew the other screws along the inner edge; also unscrew those at the bottom. At this point, you can extract the glove box from its housing and see the cabin filter housing: then unclip the retaining tabs of the cover and remove the old filter; check for any debris inside the housing and insert the new filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly for airflow. Refit the cover and the glove box.
