Removal of the Door Panel and Lock

Model: Subaru Forester SG, MK 2 - Years 2002-2008
Part: Door trim panel

This video illustrates how to remove the front passenger door panel and the corresponding lock. First, identify the various screws to remove for proper disassembly; some screws are easily visible while others are more hidden, such as the one located just behind the handle and those in the ashtray compartment. Next, remove the various covers of the speaker and the rear-view mirror; also remove the switch panel that is pressed in, and only then can you start removing the door panel. Once removed, disengage the various clips useful for opening and unscrew the nuts that secure the lock.
