To replace the external door handle on a Subaru Forester, open the corresponding door and loosen the screw located inside the side hole. Once this screw is fully removed, you can detach the handle section with the lock from its housing.

After removing this part, you can also pull out the old handle and replace it with a new one. After inserting the new part, reinsert the lock and secure it with the screw on the side of the door.
