To replace the external handle on a Subaru Outback, loosen the screws securing the corresponding door panel: these are located at the internal handle and under the central armrest trim. Once unscrewed, you can completely detach the panel to access the screws securing the handle mechanism from the inside. By unscrewing these screws and disconnecting the connectors, the handle can be removed from the outer side of the door and replaced with a new spare part.
