How can I replace the spark plugs on my Subaru Outback MK4?

Model: Subaru Outback MK 4, BM, BR - Years 2009-2014
Part: Spark plugs

In this short guide we will show you how to replace the spark plugs on your Subaru Outback. The procedure is not very simple as the candles are placed in positions that are a bit awkward to reach, but with a little patience and a few tools you can easily do it in your garage. The first two are located on the right side of the engine and after removing the electrical connector you can unscrew them with a screwdriver and a 10mm Allen bit. Once extracted they can be replaced with two new candles. The other two spark plugs, located on the opposite side, are covered by the intake manifold. Therefore it will be necessary to disassemble the latter first. Now, to remove the electrical connection of the spark plugs you will have to unscrew the bolts that keep them fixed and, subsequently, detach the clip from the connection itself. Now these two spark plugs can also be extracted and replaced using the screwdriver and the Allen tip.
