How to Change the Spark Plugs of the Subaru Outback

Have you noticed issues with the spark plugs in your Subaru Outback and want to change them but don't know how? In this guide, you will see how to replace the spark plugs in your Subaru Outback. Open the bonnet; the spark plugs are located behind the exhaust manifold connected to their respective cylinders. Remove the spark plug leads while keeping their respective order. Using a long socket wrench, unscrew the spark plugs. If you find it difficult to use the long socket, you can use a ratchet wrench. Once the spark plugs are removed, you can proceed to install the new ones. Be careful to insert them without forcing them into their respective housing. Once inserted, you can screw them in with the ratchet wrench. After this operation, reconnect the spark plug leads. For better manoeuvrability during the job, you can remove the air filter. The filter is located at the front of the bonnet, protected by a cover. To remove the cover, you will need to unclip it from the bonnet. Once the cover is removed, you will see the air filter. Disconnect the connector above and use the ratchet wrench to unscrew the bolt connecting the hose to the filter. Once finished, unscrew the bolts that connect the air filter to the frame. This will give you more manoeuvrability to complete the task. Once you have finished installing the spark plugs, you can reinstall the air filter by reversing the operation.
