How Can I Replace the Spark Plugs of My Subaru Outback MK4?

This brief guide will show you how to replace the spark plugs in your Subaru Outback. The process is not very simple as the spark plugs are located in somewhat awkward positions, but with a bit of patience and some tools, you can easily do it in your garage. The first two are located on the right side of the engine, and after removing the electrical connector, you can unscrew them with a power tool and a 10 mm Allen bit. Once removed, they can be replaced with two new spark plugs. The other two spark plugs, positioned on the opposite side, are covered by the intake manifold. Therefore, you will need to remove this first. Now, to disconnect the electrical connection of the spark plugs, unscrew the bolts that hold them in place and then detach the clip of the connection itself. You can now extract and replace these two spark plugs using the power tool and the Allen bit.
