How to Change the Cabin Air Filter on the Suzuki Ignis

To replace the cabin air filter on the Suzuki Ignis, park the car on a level surface, turn off the ignition, and open the passenger door for easier access. Move the seat back and clear the area around the glove compartment. Open the glove compartment and, if present, unclip the small side dampening arm (usually a clip or a snap pin). At this point, lower the glove compartment: when you reach the stops, gently press the sides of the glove compartment inward to bypass the stops and allow it to drop completely. With the glove compartment lowered, locate the pollen filter compartment: it is a rectangular housing closed by a clip-on cover. Press the locking tabs and remove the cover without forcing. Extract the old filter gently, being careful not to spill dirt and leaves into the housing. If you see debris in the compartment, carefully remove it (also with a cloth or light air) to avoid bad smells and fan noise. Insert the new filter respecting the indicated orientation on the filter itself (AIR FLOW arrow or similar). Push it into place until it clicks, close the cover ensuring the clips engage correctly, then lift the glove compartment and restore the stops and any side arm. Finally, start the ventilation for a few seconds and check that the airflow is steady and that there are no unusual vibrations or noises.
