To reset the oil light on the Sym Joymax 250 scooter - after performing the required services from the service interval - turn on the ignition. Then, press the "S" button located at the base of the rev counter on the right side of the dashboard. Hold it down for a few seconds; four or five will suffice. This will turn off the light and reset the service mileage, which will then show how many miles are left until the next full service. To confirm, turn off the ignition and turn it back on. The light will be off.
