How to Buy a Tesla

You cannot buy Teslas from physical dealerships, only online: let's see how. Start at the tesla.com website, configure the vehicle you want with a few accessories. To reserve it, you need to pay a deposit of $2,000. Then you will receive a confirmation email, and everything will be updated via email.

If you take the vehicle on lease, the confirmation will arrive only after the leasing company's approval: this process takes about 4 weeks, and then it takes about a month for the vehicle to arrive. And the physical delivery? There is only one store to pick it up, in Milan, or at one of the service centers in Milan or Padua, or one of the contact points existing throughout Italy (which are not many).

The approach is disappointing because it is a body shop, but it is necessary because often Teslas have assembly issues upon arrival, and delivery entrusted to body shops helps resolve this problem. If you want to test drive it before buying, you need to indicate this, and you will be contacted, but the callback is subject to the availability of demo cars, so it may take a long time.

However, you will be contacted and an appointment will be given, usually at a hotel, which is the base point, and there the test drive is conducted, which usually lasts about 30 minutes.
