To dismantle the engine of the TM Racing 125, first extract the engine from its housing: this can be done by unscrewing the bolts that secure it to the supports. Once the bolts are loosened, you can slide the engine out of its seat and proceed to loosen the bolts that secure the cylinder: the latter can be removed from the top of the engine by widening the retaining ring that secures the piston inside. By disconnecting the piston from the connecting rod, you can separate the two lower crankcase halves, replacing all necessary components inside.

Changing the Oil and Filter on the Kawasaki Versys

Here’s how to change the oil and filter on the Kawasaki Versys. Warm up the engine for a few minutes, place the motorcycle on the centre stand, open the filler cap, and remove the drain plug underneath the engine. Place a catch basin under the oil sump, unscrew the drain plug, and let the oil drain out. Unscrew the oil filter and let all the old oil drain out. Install a new filter and tighten it with the appropriate tool. Pour half a glass of new oil into the filler cap and wait for it to flow out of the drain hole, after which replace the plug. Fill with approximately 1.8 litres of new oil, take it for a short ride to circulate the oil in the engine, stop the engine, and check the level through the designated window. Top up if necessary.
