To replace the timing chain on a Toyota Yaris, you need to extract the engine from its housing to access the left side where the chain is located. The chain must be removed from its housing by loosening the bolts that secure the tensioner: this will reduce the tension on the chain, allowing you to remove it from its sprockets. Once the old chain has been removed, you can insert the new one, securing the tensioner and checking that everything functions correctly.
