- Years 2011-2019 The replacement of the timing chain of the Toyota Yaris is done by loosening the screws that fix the left side cover of the engine block: then you will also need to loosen the screws that fix the right front wheel and the internal cover of the corresponding wheel arch. In this way, it will be possible to locate the chain tensioner, which must be removed by loosening its fixing screws: after removing the chain tensioner, it will be possible to remove the chain from its respective sprockets and in this way it will be possible to insert the new replacement part, checking that everything works correctly.
