As a first step, remove the saddle using the appropriate key. Unscrew the screw relating to the negative pole (always the negative pole first) with a Phillips screwdriver. Disconnect the USB socket connector, then unscrew the positive pole (the screw under the red cap). With a torx screwdriver unscrew the bolt that holds the battery in place. Move the box on top of the same battery, and if you can't move it enough, disconnect the cables. Slide off the battery retaining strap and remove it. For safety, after disconnecting the poles you can place a piece of cardboard underneath to prevent them from making contact.

How do you change the Piaggio MP3 engine oil?

The Piaggio MP3 engine oil change is carried out by unscrewing the oil drain plug which is positioned in the lower part of the bike, immediately in front of the rear wheel. Once the cap has been opened, it will be possible to let the used oil flow into a suitably positioned container. Next to the drain plug there will be the oil filter, which must be extracted from its seat and replaced with a new spare part. After the replacement, it will also be possible to close the drain plug and top up from the special vent.
