First, remove the seat using the appropriate key. Unscrew the negative terminal (always the negative first) with a cross-head screwdriver. Disconnect the USB connector, then unscrew the positive terminal (the screw under the red cap). Using a Torx screwdriver, unscrew the bolt securing the battery. Move the box above the battery, and if you can't move it enough, disconnect the cables. Remove the battery securing strap and take it out. For safety, after disconnecting the terminals, place a piece of cardboard underneath to prevent them from making contact.
