The fuse is an electrical component designed specifically to protect against overloads and electrical short circuits. There isn't just one type, but several, differentiated by their amperage, such as 5A, 10A, 15A, etc. When it operates, it breaks, meaning the strip or filament inside it fails and needs to be replaced. However, sometimes it can happen that these fuses are malfunctioning and do not visibly show their inefficiency, so they need to be tested. One way to do this is to use a digital multimeter, which allows us to check for continuity ohmically between the two mounting terminals, or acoustically. The aforementioned multimeter offers this option by selecting it with the central knob.
