Fuse Issues on Scania Vehicles

In this video, we can see that after Scania acquired MAN, many MAN electrical components have been integrated into Scania vehicles. These components (sensors, cables, etc.) are sometimes not fully compatible with the Scania electrical system, causing frequent failures. The YouTuber illustrates a common fault: when connecting a trailer to the tractor with the lights already on, fuses 105 and 106 (10 A) responsible for the trailer lighting often blow. The problem can occur on either side (passenger side or driver side). A temporary solution is to connect the trailer with the lights off and turn on the lights after coupling. If the lights do not work, check and replace fuses 105 and 106. The fuse location is described for a right-hand drive vehicle, under the dashboard. According to a Scania technician, this is a widespread issue; it is unclear whether Scania will resolve the problem or wait for the MAN components to be gradually replaced with Scania parts.
