If your car is fitted with the timing chain instead of the belt, you do not have a predefined mileage for replacing the belt. In fact, while the timing belt should be replaced after 150,000 km or after six years of use, the chain has a much longer life and even there is no mileage limit as regards its use. However, it is advisable to keep the wear condition well controlled, especially after 200,000 km, when the first and smallest wear problems could appear. Urge your mechanic to always have a look at each annual maintenance.
