How to Install Electromagnetic Parking Sensors on a Vehicle

You can install rear parking sensors on a vehicle by purchasing an aftermarket kit that does not require drilling the rear bumper for sensor installation, as it is an electromagnetic system that mounts on the inside of the bumper across its entire width and is equally effective at detecting obstacles. For installation, you need to remove the rear bumper and fix it with aluminium adhesive that acts as a sensor. Once you have applied it across the top of the bumper, create a sort of cable at the end of the tape by pressing the tape together to connect a faston connector. This connector will be attached to the control unit, which can also be secured inside the bumper. Then, connect the supplied connector to the rear light through a bypass, using a so-called "current thief" to tap into the positive and negative from the reverse bulb. Finally, connect the buzzer and position it inside the cabin where it can be easily heard.
