All alarm systems in cars can always be turned off: if a passenger or a dog is left in a locked car or if the car is deliberately transported on a van, train, or ferry. Modern alarm systems not only activate the alarm when the vehicle is tilted, indicating it is presumably being towed, but also when movement is detected. If something moves inside the vehicle, the alarm system activates. However, to prevent false alarms, you can also disable any vehicle equipped with an anti-theft alarm system. Typically, on Audi and Nissan models, to deactivate the alarm, when you exit the car, press a hidden button on the B-pillar (usually to the left of the driver's seat).
