The replacement of the timing belt and the relative tensioner, bearing and water pump kit must be carried out by qualified personnel since an error could seriously damage the engine; start by disconnecting the battery, removing the plastic cover on the engine, disassemble the right front wheel to access the crankshaft pulley, remove the auxiliary belt, remove the lateral engine support and then the plastic cover that protects the belt; remove the crankshaft pulley and rotate the shaft to align the timing references; loosen the tensioner and remove the toothed belt and then remove the tensioner and the water pump; proceed in reverse by installing the new kit, taking care to maintain the timing references and adjustment of the tensioner; before starting the engine, fill the cooling circuit with suitable coolant.

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD gearbox oil replacement

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
