How to Replace the Wheel Bearing Without Removing the Hub

To change the bearing without removing the hub, apply the handbrake and put the car in first gear, then loosen the hub nut as shown in the video. Continue by lifting the car and removing the wheel; this will allow you to detach the retaining clip of the brake pads and remove the brake caliper and pads. Proceed by sliding the handle of the hammer against the stop to detach the bolt of the lower ball joint. Now you can move on to fitting the new bearing, starting with the installation of the lower ball joint. Position the bearing on the hub axle and reconnect the second circlip on the ball joint. Reattach the support and refit the wheel.
