In this video, we can see how it is possible to test the actual capacity of a 12-volt, 7-amp battery using a digital multimeter. We have our tester and set it to "amperage". The black probe will be placed on "com". If we need to measure a consumption that exceeds 500 mA, we will place the red probe on 10A, and set the indicator to 10A.
