How to replace the brake pads of a Volkswagen Touareg?

To replace the brake pads on a Volkswagen Touareg, start by lifting the car with a jack to create space underneath the vehicle. Make sure the car is on a flat and secure surface before starting. Then locate the wheel you want to work on and remove the wheel bolts using a ratchet or cross wrench. Once the bolts are removed, take off the wheel to access the braking system. Now you can see the brake disc and brake pads. Using a screwdriver or pliers, remove the brake pad retaining pins and slide the old pads out of the brake calipers. Before installing the new pads, make sure to push the brake caliper pistons back into the calipers using a clamp or screwdriver. This will make room for the new pads. Now, insert the new pads into the calipers and reinstall the retaining pins. At this point, you will need to remount the wheel and tighten the bolts securely, and you will have completed the replacement.
