How do you remove the door panel of the Volkswagen Touran?

In order to remove the door panel of the Volkswagen Touran, you will need to pry it with an object to detach the window switch panel from its housing: you will need to disconnect the underlying connectors and also loosen the screws that will now be visible. You will also need to unscrew those at the bottom of the panel and in the inner handle housing: this way the panel can be completely detached from its housing by disconnecting the underlying connectors. The new panel can then be inserted, secured, and connected properly.
