How to remove the rear light on a Volkswagen Golf 6

Let's see how to remove the rear light of a Volkswagen Golf VI. We start by opening the trunk, and on the side of the light we want to remove, we take off the inner trunk trim panel, which is usually held in place by some plastic clips. Once the panel is removed, we see the back of the light, with the electrical connector attached; let's disconnect it, and now we see two butterfly plastic screws, which are the fastening of the light to the outside. Let's unscrew them counterclockwise; it is not necessary to remove them completely, just loosen them; in any case, let's use moderate force, as these plastics may have become brittle over time. Now let's grab the light from the outside and pull it towards us: it is held in place by two alignment pins, so we pull straight towards us. The light is now free.
