Today, learn how to replace the washer fluid reservoir cap on a Volkswagen Golf mk7. The reservoir cap does not have an airtight seal, which can cause fluid loss even if the reservoir is not cracked. To perform the replacement, open the front bonnet, locate the reservoir on the left side next to the headlamp, and using a flathead screwdriver, remove the cap by applying slight pressure outward.

To insert the new cap, simply place the base inside the nozzle first and then test the opening and closing. It is recommended to use a cap from an Audi reservoir, as these have an airtight seal.
