How to Remove the Front Door Panel on Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Replacing the damaged right panel on your Golf 4? Here’s how to remove it from the right front door. Remove the courtesy light (if present on your version). Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws located at the bottom of the panel. Remove the trim above the handle and the window switch. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands and unclip it from the door (disconnect the power wiring). Fit the new panel on the Golf 4 with all the related parts.
