How to Replace the Light Switch on a Volkswagen Tiguan?

To replace the light switch on a Volkswagen Tiguan, keep the knob in position 0 and gently press it inward. This will release the clips securing the knob, allowing you to pull out the cylinder and disconnect its connector at the rear. Once the connector is removed, you can lever inside its housing to also remove the plastic cover that surrounded it. Once both parts are removed, insert a new cover and a new knob, which must be connected to the connector.
