To replace the diesel filter on the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI, follow this procedure: first, open the bonnet. Once opened and secured, unscrew the 5 screws on the diesel filter using a Torx socket size 20. After removing these screws, take out the remaining screws on the flange with a star screwdriver. Once all screws are removed, use a flat screwdriver to lever off the filter flange and detach the filter from the cover. At this point, use a flat screwdriver to remove the filter. Once the filter is removed, take off the gasket located under the flange. Next, remove the diesel using a syringe or suction tool, and clean with an absorbent cloth. Now, install the new gasket on the flange, then install the filter, fill it with diesel, and close the flange by re-screwing the screws.
