To replace the diesel filter of the Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDi you must perform the following procedure: first you need to open the hood, once the hood is open and locked you need to unscrew the 5 screws on the diesel filter with a torx socket wrench 20, after removing the screws remove the remaining screws on the flange with a Phillips screwdriver, Once all the screws have been removed use a slotted screwdriver to pry and remove the filter flange and detach the filter from the cover. At this point, using a flat screwdriver, remove the filter. Once the filter has been removed, remove the gasket located under the flange, at this point remove the diesel oil with a syringe or a suction tool, once removed clean with an absorbent cloth, at this point install the new gasket on the flange and then install the filter and fill with diesel and then close the flange by tightening the screws.
