How to Perform a Full Service on a Volkswagen Tiguan 1.6 TDI 2018

The service on a Volkswagen Tiguan includes an oil change, filters, and service reset. Lift the car and remove the engine cover (held by Torx T25 and T45 screws). Unscrew the drain plug (19 mm socket) and allow it to drain. Replace the oil filter (32 mm socket), clean the seating, and lubricate the gasket. Tighten to 25 Nm. The pollen filter is located under the dashboard: remove the flap and insert the new filter, respecting the arrow (downwards). For the air filter, unscrew the cover (Torx T25) and replace the filter. The diesel filter is accessible from the engine bay: unscrew the screws, clean the bowl, and fit the new filter. Tighten to 5 Nm. Top up with 4.7 litres of 5W30 oil. For the service reset, press and hold the button on the dashboard and turn the ignition on. To fill the diesel filter, use the actuator test from the diagnostics and activate the fuel pump. Start the engine. Remember to dispose of the used engine oil and filters properly at an authorised centre.
