This guide explains how to correctly and safely replace the engine air filter of your second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan. First, switch off the car and let the engine cool for a few minutes, then go outside and lift the front bonnet.

Position the safety support and locate the air filter box directly beneath the battery, on the right side of the engine bay. Next, unscrew all the screws of the cover with a cross screwdriver and remove the cover. Finally, replace the old filter with a new one.
