How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf V

Before resetting the service light, ensure you carry out all the maintenance tasks required by the service schedule for your vehicle, for your safety and that of others. Once done, you can proceed with the reset. Get into the car and close all four doors, then turn on the ignition. Press and hold the button with "00" located at the bottom right of the dashboard. Release the button after a few seconds, then press the button at the bottom left of the dashboard. Keep it pressed for a few seconds and turn off the ignition. When you turn it back on, the service light should be off.
