How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Golf 4, press and hold the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster while it is off. While continuing to hold the button, insert the ignition key into the ignition barrel and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster. Once the cluster is on, release the button on the right and slightly turn the button on the left. This will reset the light, and you can then turn off the instrument cluster.
