On the Volkswagen Jetta, the fuel flap may become stuck, possibly due to a fault with the actuator or the corresponding control button. In either case, you can perform an emergency opening of the flap by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, open the boot, then remove the indicated plastic screws, disconnect the right courtesy light, and separate the carpet from the wall. Next, locate the indicated metal lever and pull it towards you to unlock the latch. After this, you will be able to refuel and repair the faulty component.
