To change the motor oil of a Yamaha XJ6N, it is necessary to make sure that the engine is warm, in order to make the oil more fluid and facilitate its drainage. Place the motorcycle on a central or side stand, making sure it is stable. Under the engine is the oil drain plug: unscrew it with a suitable wrench and let the oil drain completely into a prepared container. After the old oil has been completely drained, screw the plug back in and tighten it carefully to avoid leaks. Next, locate the oil tank plug on the upper side of the engine, unscrew it and fill it with the recommended motor oil, pouring it slowly to avoid spills. Check the oil level with the dipstick, making sure it falls within the limits indicated by the manufacturer. Once the correct level is reached, screw the plug back in and start the motorcycle for a few minutes, allowing the new oil to circulate properly in the engine.
