To replace the air filter on a Yamaha V Star 650, loosen the bolts securing the chrome cover located on the right side of the bike, just below the fuel tank. Once the securing bolts are loosened, you can slide the old air filter out of its housing by simply unclipping it. After removal, insert the new replacement part into the housing, securing the cover with the previously removed bolts.
