To replace the air filter on the Yamaha YZF 450 F, open the plastic panel that provides access to the fuel filler cap. Once this has been removed, detach the panel located at the front to access the underlying air filter. The filter can then be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. Once it is secured in place, close it with the panel, and also lower the panel covering the fuel cap.
