The service light on a motorcycle is even more important than on a car. This is because if a four-wheeled vehicle has problems and stops, it remains balanced on its four wheels. That said, to reset the service light on a Yamaha T-Max 500, turn on the ignition and press the "reset" button located on the speedometer dial. Hold the button for about 15 to 20 seconds, during which the light will start to flash. Upon release, the light will turn off. Switch off the ignition and restart the bike. The light will be off.
