To reset the oil light on the Yamaha Tmax (model 2001-2007), follow this simple procedure. With the instrument panel off, move to the right side of the bike and lower the passenger footpeg to remove the side panel by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place. You will find a rubber sleeve containing a connector. Turn on the instrument panel, disconnect the connector, and reconnect it after no more than ten seconds. Turn off the panel, turn it back on, and the light should be off. Refit the rubber sleeve and reposition the side panel.
