To change the engine oil on the Yamaha Xmax 300, loosen the drain plug located at the bottom left of the bike, next to the stand. Unscrewing the plug will allow all the used oil to flow into a suitably placed container. Once the oil has completely drained, close the plug and loosen the screws that secure the cover containing the oil filter, located directly above. After replacing the oil filter, you can top up through the breather located above the exhaust.
