To change the motor oil of a Yamaha XSR 900, start by making sure the bike is on a flat surface and stabilize the vehicle on a central or side stand. First of all, place a container under the engine to collect the used oil. Remove the oil drain plug located at the bottom of the engine, using a suitable wrench. Let the oil flow completely into the container. After completing the draining, put back the drain plug and tighten it securely. Now, identify the oil fill cap, which is usually located near the top of the engine. Remove the fill cap and pour the new motor oil through the fill tube. Use a funnel to prevent spills. After adding the necessary amount, put back the fill cap and start the engine for a few minutes, allowing the oil to circulate. Turn off the engine and check for leaks. Finally, make sure to dispose of the used oil in an environmentally friendly way at authorized collection centers.
