Answer

The main warning lights on the dashboard of your BMW 1 series are (as on all cars) in 4 different colors: green, red, yellow and blue. Green lights indicate proper functioning of systems and components. They are: Fog lights, cruise control, indicators, position lights and low beam lights. The yellow lights come on when the car is started to carry out system checks or indicate the presence of a defect or problem that requires checking. These are: Electromechanical steering warning light, Rear fog light, glow plug preheating, Tire pressure warning light, Headlight problem warning light, Particulate filter warning light, Service warning light, Water in fuel filter warning light, Passenger airbag deactivated, ABS warning light, Reserve warning light, Defroster / windshield heater warning light, ESP warning light, engine failure warning light and rear window heating warning light. The red warning lights indicate dangers or serious problems with the car. And they are: Handbrake warning light, Battery warning light, Airbag warning light, Brake warning light, Engine coolant warning light, Door or trunk open warning light and Oil pressure warning light. The blue light is that of the high beams.
