On the first series of the Nissan Qashqai the timing chain was indeed a problem, as it began to produce the typical rattling noise already at 80 / 100,000 kilometers and had to be replaced. Unfortunately this is not an economic operation, because if it is true that the piece itself does not cost more than 150/200 euros, to do the operation - which can only be done in a specialized workshop - it is necessary to practically disassemble the whole engine and the costs rise to around one thousand euros.
