Replacing the Timing Chain on the Nissan Qashqai 1.6 Petrol

To replace the timing chain on the vehicle, first remove the right-hand engine mount and the front right wheel, including the brake disc. This will allow access to the timing chain protection covers, which must be removed. At this point, you can access the chain; before removing it, loosen the tensioners and pay attention to the positions of the red-coloured links and their relative position to the pulleys. You can also remove and replace the water pump if necessary. Extract the chain and replace it with the new one, ensuring the positions of the red links relative to the pulleys are correct. Finally, reassemble all components in reverse order.
