How to Replace the Timing Chain on a Nissan Qashqai

To replace the timing chain on a Nissan Qashqai, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. The chain is located on the left side of the engine block and will be accessible once the side cover and valve cover have been removed. By unscrewing the bolts that secure the chain tensioner, you can reduce the tension on the chain and fit a new one around the respective sprockets. At this point, remount the chain tensioner and all previously removed components.
