Notwithstanding that the best year for the Dodge Ram 1500 is, and remains, 2017, all other years have had their problems for various other reasons. The worst years were the years 1997,1998 and 1999 which were truly means full of defects As for the transmission, there were big problems in 2001,2009,2012,2016 and some half of 2019, also avoid for the EcoDiesel engine. 2003 had major problems with the functionality of the dashboard. In 2011 the Ram separated from the Dodge and its build quality has greatly improved.
