Removing Gear Knob on Alfa Romeo 159

Removing the gear knob from the top of the lever to replace it or to change the covering? Start by removing the plastic cover on the knob with a screwdriver, then undo the gear knob using a socket or fixed spanner. Remove the leather gaiter from the edge of the centre tunnel using a plastic lever if it needs replacing. Fit the new gear knob onto the lever and tighten the securing screw with the spanner. Refit the plastic cover on the gear knob. Perform a general check to ensure all parts are properly installed.
