First, get inside the vehicle and start by disconnecting the gaiter from the knob itself; then pull the gear knob upwards with force until it is completely removed, as shown in the video.

At this point, replace the knob with the correct new one, ensuring it is properly fitted onto the gear lever (avoiding any play between the lever and the knob); then refit the gaiter onto the knob!
