How to Change the Oil and Oil Filter on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

To change the oil and oil filter on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, start by removing the lower engine cover (only part of it), position a container under the sump, and use a 16mm spanner to unscrew the oil sump plug. While the oil drains (for about 20 minutes), use a 26mm spanner to unscrew the oil filter plug (place a cloth as some oil may spill out), remove the oil filter, take the new oil filter out of the packaging, place the new gasket on the oil filter plug, insert the new oil filter into the plug, reassemble the new oil filter by screwing in the plug, screw the oil sump plug back in, open the oil filler cap, and add the litres of oil specified by the manufacturer. When you are close to the specified litres, remove the oil dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, remove it again, check the level, and top up if necessary; otherwise, the operation is complete and you can close the bonnet.
