To change the oil and the oil filter on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta we start by removing the lower engine guard (only one part), place a container under the sump, unscrew the oil sump cap with a 16mm wrench; while we let the oil drain (20 minutes), unscrew the oil filter cap with a 26mm wrench (place a rag as oil can come out), remove the oil filter, take the new filter of the oil, remove it from the packaging, put the new gasket on the oil filter cap, insert the new oil filter into the snap-on cap, reassemble the new oil filter by screwing the cap back on, screw the oil pan cap back on , we open the oil cap, insert the liters of oil indicated by the house, when we are approximately at the indicated liters, we extract the oil dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, re-extract it, check the level and if It is necessary to top up, otherwise the operation is complete and we can close the bonnet.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo
